Ahmed Shafeeq
Managing Partner
Mr Ahmed Shafeeq is one of the founding partners of Shafeeq & Masthoor LLP. He was formerly engaged in the legal practice under the recognized name of Shafeeq & Associates since 2001. His work in the legal practice in the past 18 years comprises of advising various companies and entities on a wide variety of corporate and commercial issues. He has broad knowledge and experience of administrative procedures, leasing, corporate, commercial laws and trial practices. He has continually been recognized for his excellence in practice.
Previous Work
Prior to private practice, he served diligently as a law enforcement officer in the police force of Maldives. He then served as a State Attorney in the Attorney General’s Office until 2000, before his venture into private practice. This enabled him to attain greater exposure in the legal arena of the Maldives.

Masthoor Husnee
Partner
Mr Masthoor Husnee is one of the founding partners of Shafeeq & Masthoor LLP. Mr Masthoor has vast experience in public law, corporate, contract and criminal law. He has also practiced in the area of securitisation. Mr Masthoor is vastly experienced in litigation, having practiced for over 18 years and has represented the State and private parties in numerous cases.
Previous Work
Prior to embarking on private practice Masthoor worked with the Attorney General’s office as of until 2000. During his tenure at Attorney General’s Office, his work included drafting the public sector worker commission, assisting the Civil Service Commission in its inception. He held membership of various public-sector advisory committees, and was involved in drafting legislations.
